Infinitely-aLive began in around 2004 as a side-project for zEkE. It has been through several implementations ranging from technical support and computer repair, through an IRC search engine and on to hosting.
We currently provide computer repair in the Rockingham County area, but mostly we focus on webhosting solutions for individuals, charities/non-profits, and small businesses.
Our current scope includes (but is not limited to):
Aside from the provisions supplied with the specific account type, most accounts will be provided with the following:
1 MySQL Account
Webhosting for ONE domain, and/or http://server.i-al.net/~username/
Unmetered bandwidth/disk usage*
SSH and FTP access
Irssi allowed
Crontab allowed
Screen allowed
Please note that you MUST know how to use a UNIX shell, and the basic commands.
* You are expected to consider other users of the servers you have access to, as they are expected to consider you. If bandwidth or disk usage is being abused we will begin imposing limits on these resources, and suspending/terminating accounts as necessary.
Considerate is, unless pre-agreed, approximately 500MB Disk Storage and 10GB traffic. “Abused” is defined as anything consistently above these. If you expect this to be ongoing, we need to be aware so as to charge accordingly.
